The University of Alabama at Huntsville will host the 53rd annual meeting of the Alabama Association of College Teachers of Mathematics on Saturday, February 15, 2003. The annual MAA dinner will be hosted on the evening of February 14, 2003. The location of this dinner is TBA.

The Lewis-Parker Lecture for 2003 will be presented by Olav Kallenberg of Auburn University. (Title to be announced later.)

The complete program and meeting details will be sent in mid-January but please reserve these dates now. At this time we are soliciting your offers and suggestions in the following categories:

1. Panel discussions
2. Presentations on the uses of technology in mathematics education
3. Presentations on innovative teaching techniques in mathematics
4. Presentations of mathematical papers
5. Business items for discussion
6. Suggestions for nominations of officers
7. Other suggestions

Please respond no later than January 17, 2003 to Bruce Atkinson at the address below (sooner is better than later; e-mail is preferred!). If you would like to give a presentation in categories 1-4, please include the following information:

• Name(s) of participant(s)
• Equipment or software needed
• Title of presentation
• Length of time requested (typically 15-20 minutes)
• Brief abstract

In recent years the annual AACTM meeting has been a lively forum for the discussion of curricular issues in mathematics and the use of technology in mathematics education. We hope to continue this and especially encourage you to consider presentations in areas 1-3 as well as area 4.
